Epping is located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. It includes the area known as Camp Hedding. It was first a part of Exeter, one of New Hampshire’s original four townships. It was named after Epping Forest, a suburb of London.
Epping’s location at the crossroads of Routes 101 and 125 has become a retail center. The town center is located around Route 127, where Epping connects with Hooksett and Manchester.
