Hutter Homes was formed in 1998 as a division of Hutter Construction Corporation. Its birth was motivated by an increasing demand from commercial customers for private residential construction with the same high-end quality, design and service thay had experienced with Hutter in their commercial construction. At the same time, some key members within Hutter were feeling a desire to pursue their passion for quality residential construction, and so the match was made and Hutter Homes conceived.

It was not long before a need was seen for high-end residential developments and the highly successful Danbury Court development in Londonderry, New Hampshire, was begun. Hutter Homes has since completed Danbury Court, The Reserve at Farrwood Forest in Hooksett, and Woodgate Views in Keene, New Hampshire, is now well into the Woodland Ridge development in New Ipswich, Bolton Woods and Arlington Heights in Winchester, and is breaking ground on the new Magnolia Way development in Keene, New Hampshire. In addition to the developments, Hutter Homes has constructed several high-end private homes.

Because of the resources available on the commercial end of the business, Hutter Homes is able to offer service, flexability, a wider variety of products, and a greater bank of quality subcontractors than most residential contractors. This has proven to be a huge factor in the success of Hutter Homes and the continuing demand for their services. More developments as well as high-end individual residences are in the planning stages at this time.
