Andover is a town in Oxford County, Maine, United States. Andover is et among mountains and crossed by the Appalachian Trail and is also home to the Andover Earth Station and Lovejoy Covered Bridge.

The town was incorporated on June 23, 1804 as East Andover, renamed Andover in 1820 when Maine separated from Massachusetts.

According to the US census, the town has a total area of 57.5 square miles, of which, 57.4 square miles is land and 0.04 square miles (0.07%) is water. Crossed by the Appalachian Trail, Andover is drained by the Ellis River, which is a tributary of the Androscoggin River.

As of the 2000 census, there were 864 people, 359 households, and 257 families residing in the town. The population density was 15.1 people per square mile. There were 553 housing units at an average density of 9.6 per square mile.
