Arundel Real Estate

Arundel is a seaside community located in York County, Maine.  Arundel, along with the towns of Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Cape Porpoise are known as the “Kennebunks”. 

Arundel was once part of Kennebunkport until 1915 at which point it was set off and named North Kennebunkport. In 1957, following the publication of the chronicles of Arundel by Kenneth Roberts, the town was renamed Arundel by the state legislature, after Lord Arundel. It is bordered to the north by Dayton, to the northeast by Biddeford, to the northwest by Lyman, to the southeast by Kennebunkport, and to the southwest by Kennebunk.

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Arundel’s population at the time was 3,571 people.  This included 1,363 households and 999 families.  The average family size was 3.01 and the average household size was 2.61.  

Arundel Real Estate and Homes:  Arundel is comprised of 23.9 square miles of land and .04 square miles of water.  There are 1,415 homes and an average of 59 homes (houses / condos) per square mile.  Most homes are single family houses, which are owner-occupied.  Only 15% of homes in Arundel are occupied by renters.
