Franklin Real Estate

Franklin is a town in Hancock County, Maine, United States. The first settler in 1764, was Moses Butler, for whom Butler's Point is named. Principal products (in chronological order) have been ship masts, railroad ties, granite, blueberries, and Christmas trees.

According to the US census, the town has a total area of 41.7 square miles, of which, 36.7 square miles is land and 5.0 square miles (11.96%) is water.

As of the 2000 census, there were 1,370 people, 579 households, and 389 families residing in the town. The population density was 37.3 people per square mile. There were 902 housing units at an average density of 24.6 per square mile.
