Livermore is a town in Androscoggin County, Maine, US. The town was settled in 1786, then incorporated in 1795 as Livermore after Deacon Elijah Livermore, who was one of the first English settlers. According to the US Census, the town has a total area of 39.4 square miles, of which, 37.7 square miles of it is land and 1.7 square miles of it (4.34%) is water. As of the 2010 census there were 2,095 people living in Livermore Maine and according to the 2000 census the town was made up of 842 households, and 602 families resided in the town. The population density was 55.9 people per square mile. There were 1,066 housing units at an average density of 28.3 per square mile.
