Raymond is a small community located in the heart of the Lakes Region in Cumberland County, Maine.

Raymond is home to several beaches including Tassel Top Park, Raymond Beach and Crescent Beach.  It also includes two boat launches, two lakes, five ponds, hiking trails and mountain bike trails.

The town is home to Nathaniel Hawthorne’s boyhood home, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Other historic buildings include the East Raymond Union Chapel and the Manning House. 

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Raymond was home to 4,299 residents.  This included 1,616 households and 1,255 families.
