Roxbury is a town in Oxford County, Maine, United States. Ellis Pond is popular with recreational fishermen.

Originally known as Township No. 7, it was first settled about 1809. It was incorporated as a town on March 17, 1835, and named after Roxbury, Massachusetts.

According to the US census, the town has a total area of 44.1 square miles, of which, 42.9 square miles is land and 1.2 square miles (2.74%) is water. Roxbury is drained by the Swift River, a tributary of the Androscoggin River.

As of the 2000 census, there were 384 people, 165 households, and 119 families residing in the town. The population density was 9.0 people per square mile. There were 457 housing units at an average density of 10.7 per square mile.
