West Paris is a town in Oxford County, Maine, United States.
It began as part of Paris, granted by the Massachusetts General Court in 1771 to Captain Joshua Fuller and his company of 64 soldiers as payment for their service to the colony.
In September 1957, West Paris was set off and incorporated as a town.
According to the US census the town has a total area of 24.4 square miles, of which 24.2 square miles is land and 0.2 square miles is water. The total area is 0.66% water. West Paris is drained by the Little Androscoggin River.
As of the 2000 census, there were 1,722 people, 646 households, and 461 families residing in the town. The population density was 71.0 people per square mile. There were 720 housing units at an average density of 29.7 per square mile.
