Windham is located in Cumberland County, Maine.  It is eleven miles northwest of Portland and includes the villages of South Windham and North Windham.

Windham is home to two local shopping destinations; Windham Mall and the North Windham Shopping Center.  The town also hosts an annual Summerfest.

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Windham was home to 14,904 residents.
