Lee Real Estate

Lee is a rural bedroom community located in Strafford County, New Hampshire.  It was settled in 1657, incorporated in 1766, and was originally part of the Dover Township.  Numerous faculty of the University of New Hampshire in Durham reside in Lee.

Lee offers many outdoor recreational activities.  They include camping, fishing, boating, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.  The town is also home to Bedroom Gardens, a 20-acre property known for its horticulture, landscape and sculpture. 

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Lee’s population at the time was 4,145 people.  This included 1,466 households and 1,092 families.  The average family size was 3.2 and the average household size was 2.81.  Lee is comprised of 20 square miles of land and 0.2 square miles of water. 

Lee Real Estate and Homes:  In 2000, there were 1,534 homes and an average of 77 homes (houses / condos) per square mile.  In 2007, it was estimated that real estate in Lee was comprised of a total of 1,699 homes.  This included 1,157 single family homes and 365 multi-unit homes.
