Lempster is a quintessential New England town, located in Sullivan County, New Hampshire.  The town is situated 56 miles from Manchester and 105 miles from Boston.  It is conveniently located to Keene and Concord.

Lempster is home to an eighteenth century meeting house – one of the few meeting houses in New Hampshire that retain most of their original appearance.  The town is also home to the state’s first wind farm, located on Bean Mountain.  Recreational opportunities in Lempster include camping, fishing, boating and snowmobiling.

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Lempster was home to 971 residents, including 387 households and 275 families.  It is estimated that Lempster’s population grew to 1,088 by 2008.
