Madbury is located in Strafford County, New Hampshire.  It is bounded to the northeast by the city of Dover, and to the south by the towns of Lee and Durham. 
Madbury is the hometown to many faculty of the University of New Hampshire in Durham. 

Madbury is home to Kingman Farm, which is located on Route 155.  The property includes 334.7 acres of woodland and wetland.  The land is used by the University of New Hampshire’s Natural Resource Department for educational purposes.  The property is also used for recreational use including hiking, running, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, mountain bike racing, and foxhunt training for dogs.

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Madbury’s population at the time was 1,509 people.  This included 534 households and 411 families.  The average family size was 3.13 and the average household size was 2.83.  Madbury is comprised of 11.7 square miles of land and 0.6 square miles of water. 

Madbury Real Estate and Homes:  In 2000, there were 543 homes and an average of 46 homes (houses / condos) per square mile.  In 2007, it was estimated that real estate in Madbury was comprised of a total of 665 homes.  This included 470 single family houses and 123 multi-unit homes.
