Mon Vernon is 18 miles from Manchester and 59 miles from Boston, and is a bedroom community to the town of Nashua. It is named after George Washington’s home, Mount Vernon.
Mont Vernon was well-known for being home to many summer hotels. They included the Grand Hotel, the Bellevue, Hillsborough House and Mont Vernon House. It was also home to a boarding houses and a dance pavilion.
