Newton is located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. It was incorporated as New Town in 1749 and was renamed Newton in 1846. Newtwon was originally part of South Hampton. Newton is home to the Marshall House and the Historical Museum (Newtown Historical Society). Newtown offers many outdoor recreational opportunities include camping, fishing, boating, bicycling, and cross-country skiing.
