Raymond is a traditional New England town located in Rockingham County, New Hampshire.  It is bounded to the north by Deerfield and Nottingham, to the east by Epping and Fremont, to the south by Chester, and to the west by Candia. 

Raymond is conveniently located near the White Mountain National Forest, which offers skiing and hiking.  It is also located near the Pawtuckaway State Park.   It is just 30 minutes away from Portsmouth, the state’s sandy beaches, and from the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.  It is also just an hour drive from Boston.  It is traversed by state routes 27, 101, 102 and 107. 

Raymond’s outdoor recreational opportunities include camping, swimming, fishing and boating 

According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Raymond’s population at the time was 9,674 people.  This included 3,493 households and 2,567 families.  The average family size was 3.18 and the average household size was 2.77.  Raymond is comprised of 28.8 square miles of land and 0.8 square miles of water. 

Raymond Real Estate and Homes:  In 2000, there were 1,183 homes in Raymond and an average of 256 homes (houses / condos) per square mile.  By 2007, it was estimated that real estate in Raymond was comprised of a total of 4,348 homes.  This included 2,751 single family houses and 911 multi-unit homes.
