Temple is located in the center of the Monadnock Region in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. It is 34 miles from Manchester and 68 Miles from Boston. The town is bounded by Temple Mountain to the west.
Temple is home to many farms and pony farms. It was once home to Oak Hill, a ski area near the center of Temple Village that was open until about 1950.
According to the 2000 U.S. Census Bureau, Temple’s population at the time was 1,297 people. This included 440 households and 347 families. The average family size was 3.24 and the average household size was 2.91. Temple, New Hampshire is comprised of 23.2 square miles of land and 0.2 square miles of water.
