Wilton is a rural New England village located in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. It is 21 miles from Manchester and 60 miles from Boston.
Wilton houses several farms, orchards, woodlands, lakes and ponds. It is home to Carnival Hill, Sheldrick Forest, The Heald Tract, The Everett Forest, and part of the Russell-Abbott State Forest.
Once an old mill town, most of Wilton’s mill buildings have been converted for modern commercial and industrial use. The Frye Measure Mill is located in the center of town and still a working mill. Shaker and colonial reproductions of wooden measuring devices are produced there for sale.
Milton is home to the children’s theatre, Andy’s Summer Playhouse and the Wilton Hall Theatre which is an art house movie theatre.
