You can see more than 60 vehicles and hear stories of this transformational period in the story of America.

  • Wendell Gilley Museum – 4 Herrick Road, Southwest Harbor, ME 04679
    To soak in the works of an artist who was truly in tune with Maine's natural beauty, consider a stop at the Wendell Gilley Museum. Gilley was a prolific carver of decorative birds, with much of his inspiration drawn from the countryside near Bar Harbor.     Woodlawn Museum, Gardens, and Park is a historic 180-acre estate with all kinds of events, displays, and interesting venues to hold your interest. A comprehensive network of walking trails is open every day, even when the museum itself is closed, from dawn to dusk. See the antique carriages and sleighs or participate in a relaxing game of croquet.

  • Atlantic Brewing Midtown – 52 Cottage Street, Bar Harbor, ME 04609
    Walk down Bar Harbor's beloved Cottage Street, and you'll find a slew of places where you can enjoy authentic Maine cider. Atlantic Brewing Midtown is one of them and has won a dedicated following with its creative microbrews. The company's lauded small-batch beers are created only seven barrels at a time.
